Now you can easily control the unwanted transfer of heat through metal during welding and soldering operations with Cool-Tools Thermal Shield. These products provide a barrier that retards heat transfer and reduces the risk of accidental fires or heat-related damage.
Thermal Shield can be used on most solid surfaces. It comes in a paste that is ideal for use on vertical or overhead surfaces and also in a gel spray that coats and protects surfaces, especially hard to reach areas. Before beginning the welding or soldering job, simply apply the paste or spray to surrounding areas.
Apply to pipes prior to brazing to retard the heat from traveling to valves, etc. Apply to heated surfaces for rapid cooling. Apply to sheet metal adjacent to the welding area to help prevent weld slag from adhering to metal. Apply directly to the surface to be welded or soldered to provide a shield against overheating or distortion of the metal. Comprised of harmless surfactant, water and an inorganic-based agent. It is environmentally safe. 100% biodegradeable, non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-flammable.
